We studied the temperature dependence of the light yield of linear alkyl benzene(LAB)-based and mesitylene-based liquid scintillators. The light yield increases by 23% for both liquid scintillators when the temperature is lowered from 26 to-40, correcting for the temperature response of the photomultiplier tube. The measurements help to understand the energy response of liquid scintillator detectors. Especially, the next generation reactor neutrino experiments for neutrino mass hierarchy, such as the Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory(JUNO), require very high energy resolution. As no apparent degradation on the liquid scintillator transparency was observed, lowering the operation temperature of the detector to ~4 will increase the photoelectron yield of the detector by 13%, combining the light yield increase of the liquid scintillator and the quantum efficiency increase of the photomultiplier tubes.  相似文献

本文研究了二维黏性流体薄膜沿非平整不均匀加热基底流动时非线性表面波的演化及其流动稳定性.利用长波摄动法推导出非平整线性加热基底上非线性表面波的零阶和一阶演化方程,基于所得演化方程,绘制出正弦波纹基底上液膜的表面波形图,并研究液膜流动的线性稳定性,分析了各无量纲参数对液膜线性稳定性的影响.分析结果表明:在正弦波纹基底上,液膜自由表面随同壁面作相同频率的正弦型波动,且液膜厚度沿流动方向逐渐变小;Marangoni数为稳定影响因素,随Marangoni数的增大,液膜稳定区域增大;Peclet数和倾角θ均为不稳定影响因素,随Peclet数和倾角θ的增大,液膜稳定区域减小;在非平整基底的波峰和波谷处,Peclet数、Marangoni数和倾角θ对稳定性的影响趋势一致,但基底波谷处的液膜稳定区域小于波峰处区域,流动更易失稳.  相似文献

The linearized nonlinear propagation equation and its coefficients, gain spectrum of modulation instability (MI) in metamaterials (MMs) with fourth-order linear dispersion, second-order nonlinear dispersion, and three kinds of saturable nonlinearites, are analytically deduced by utilizing the linear stability analysis and Drude electromagnetic model. Then variations of gain spectra of MI with the normalized angular frequencies and the optical power densities are calculated in real units. In the negative refractive region, two kinds of gain spectra are discovered. The first (second) one is close to (far from) the zero perturbation frequencies and it corresponds to the lower (higher) normalized angular frequencies. Moreover, the second one has higher cutoff frequency, which is obviously beneficial to generation of high-repetition-rate pulse trains. While in the positive refractive region, only the first kind of gain spectra is found. With increase of the optical power densities, the peak gains and the spectral widths of MI increase before decrease, but they vary the most rapidly (slowly) for the exponential (conventional) saturable nonlinearities. The MI characteristics and their corresponding applications can be adjusted by several methods.  相似文献

A novel acoustic emission (AE) source localization approach based on beamforming with two uniform linear arrays is proposed, which can localize acoustic sources without accurate velocity, and is particularly suited for plate-like structures. Two uniform line arrays are distributed in the x-axis direction and y-axis direction. The accurate x and y coordinates of AE source are determined by the two arrays respectively. To verify the location accuracy and effectiveness of the proposed approach, the simulation of AE wave propagation in a steel plate based on the finite element method and the pencil-lead-broken experiment are conducted, and the AE signals obtained from the simulations and experiments are analyzed using the proposed method. Moreover, to study the ability of the proposed method more comprehensive, a plate of carbon fiber reinforced plastics is taken for the pencil-lead-broken test, and the AE source localization is also realized. The results indicate that the two uniform linear arrays can localize different sources accurately in two directions even though the localizing velocity is deviated from the real velocity, which demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed method in AE source localization for plate-like structures.  相似文献

The energetics of nucleophilic addition of pyridine to polyenes of various lengths and the corresponding protonation of these polyenes by methyl ammonium fluoride was computationally determined using ab initio methods. These reactions were also studied in the presence of an electric field (2.5 and 5 MV/cm) oriented along the polyene long axis in the direction which will enhance the reaction. Assuming linearity over a long range, and extrapolating the data for 2.5 MV/cm to 10 nm chain length gave a reduction in the activation energy of the nucleophilic addition of 7 orders of magnitudes implying a ~105 rate enhancement. Conversely, the longer the chain, the smaller is the electric field needed to catalyze the reaction. The transition state locations of the various reactions were determined using the slopes of the Ea versus E0 plots as well as the Marcus α values. It turns out the efficiency of electric field catalysis is a function of the transition state location. New commercial dosimetry systems need careful characterization and can benefit from the comparison with similar, in-house developed solutions. A comparison between such two dosimetry systems, both based on fibre-coupled organic plastic scintillator detectors, is presented. One system is the Exradin W1, fully commercialized by Standard Imaging, while the other system is the non-commercial ME40 system, developed by DTU Nutech with the aim of fundamental dosimetric research. Both systems employ plastic scintillator detectors that can be considered similar in design, calibrated using the same method, but differing primarily in the signal detection hardware. The two systems were compared with respect to essential dosimetric properties, with the purpose of testing their performance under conditions less well discussed in the literature. A Farmer ionization chamber was used as the primary reference of the comparison. The study demonstrated that the Cerenkov light ratio calibration coefficient of both systems was not constant, but changed systematically with photon beam quality to a maximum difference of 1.1%. Calibration with respect to stem effect correction should therefore be performed for every investigated beam quality when using plastic scintillator detectors. Both systems were found to be dose rate independent, even for the highest instantaneous dose rate evaluated (1.5 mGy per pulse). Low-dose measurements revealed large uncertainties for both systems, although the ME40 system handled short beam deliveries under reference conditions with accuracy and precision within 0.4%. Changes in response due to field size dependence were investigated and found to be as large as 3.3% for the W1 and 5.4% for the ME40, biasing output factor measurements in large fields. Great caution is therefore advised if using either system for measurements in large fields or under circumstances where the fibre irradiation geometry is unfavourable. Measurements of reference dose to water yielded differences up to 1.5% when compared with the Farmer ionization chamber for all investigated beam qualities.  相似文献

贮存时间是影响生菜品质的一项重要因素,传统的贮存时间鉴别方法主要依靠人工经验,但是这种方法的准确率和可信度并不高。研究的目标是建立一种基于模糊识别的模型进行生菜光谱分析以实现生菜贮存时间的鉴别,并与其他鉴别方法作比较。为此,在当地超市购买60份新鲜生菜样品,存放于冰箱中待用。首先,通过Antaris Ⅱ近红外光谱检测仪采集生菜样品的近红外光谱数据,每隔12小时检测一次,每个样本检测重复三次,并取三次平均值作为实验数据。其次,利用多元散射校正(MSC)减少近红外光谱中的冗余信息。为了进一步去除近红外光谱中的无用信息以及简化随后的数据分类过程,分别运用主成分分析(PCA)和排序主成分分析 (PCA Sort)。其中,PCA Sort通过改进对主成分的排序方法能提高分类准确率,同时便于模糊线性鉴别分析(FLDA)进一步提取特征。PCA和PCA Sort的计算仅运用了前15个主成分(能充分反映光谱的主要信息)。最后,利用模糊线性鉴别分析算法(FLDA)和K近邻算法(KNN)进一步分类所得的低维数据。基于PCA和KNN算法的模型鉴别准确率达到43%,而基于PCA,FLDA和KNN算法的模型鉴别准确率可达83%。上述结果说明基于PCA,FLDA和KNN算法的模型鉴别准确率已经得到较大程度提高。当用PCA Sort替代了模型中的PCA算法后,结合FLDA和KNN算法则鉴别准确率达到98.33%。实验结果表明PCA Sort结合FLDA和KNN所建立的模型是有效的生菜贮存时间鉴别模型。  相似文献

In our consideration, a comparison between four different types of controllers for suppression the vibrations of the cantilever beam excited by an external force is carried out. Those four types are the linear velocity feedback control, the cubic velocity feedback control, the non-linear saturation controller (NSC) and the positive position feedback (PPF) controller. The suitable type is the PPF controller for suppression the vibrations of the cantilever beam. The approximate solution obtained up to the first approximation by using the multiple scale method. The PPF controller effectiveness is studied on the system. We used frequency-response equations to investigate the stability of a cantilever beam. We notified that, there is a good agreement between the analytical solution and the numerical solution.  相似文献

Carbyne is an infinitely long linear chain of carbon atoms with sp1 hybridization and the truly one-dimensional allotrope of carbon. While obtaining freestanding carbyne is still an open challenge, the study of confined carbyne, linear chains of carbon encapsulated in carbon nanotubes, provides a pathway to explore carbyne and its remarkable properties in a well-defined environment. In this review, we discuss the basics and recent advances in studying single confined carbyne chains by Raman spectroscopy, which is their primary spectroscopic characterization method. We highlight where single carbyne chain studies are needed to advance our understanding of confined carbyne as a material system and provide an overview of the open questions that need to be addressed and of those aspects currently under debate.  相似文献
